Merry Meet to you all, again! I wanted to thank you for your kind emails, and promise to have the posts moved very soon-I have been preoccupied lately with a special project (okay, ten special projects), but I am updating my information and will return. Per requests, I will move my small arts museum over to this site as well. What are small arts? Small pieces that I have made for the past 5 years, in full color splendor! They are hard to describe-I will post them soon....keep this in your thoughts for today-everyone is beautiful and perfect just as they are, and you should tell them, without shame, what they mean to you in your life. The Nymphenburg-Bavarian Pleasure Palace
The Nymphenburg Palace is located on the outskirts of Munich, Germany, and was the vast summer home of the old guard of Bavarian rulers. To walk the hallowed ground of grandeur is to touch ecstasy in our human form, and Nymphenburg possesses such power.
Often on my blog, I discuss with you the soul of a region, the history of the people who have dwelled there, and the magnificent pain that went into building such monuments to the human ergos. Can man or woman born ever know the completion and energy that transforms into matter-as the benign power that is creation is brought into fruition? Let us fully explore Nymphenburg for more insightful musings.
Nymphenburg began conception and building in 1664. It was designed for Bavarian noblemen of great wealth and power, and had several complete and grand editions each year thereafter. We will discuss a few of the beautiful, ornate concepts of this incredible tribute to human creation and ideas as we explore Baroque Art.
We can't go further until we discuss Baroque art and the concept and influence of such a movement. Baroque art, to me personally, is the feeling that you get when you are with someone who so encompasses you that you want to immerse all of your ideas into their head and gesture to them your spirit and intent, as if by sheer will it shall be done. Baroque art is powerful, detailed, broad-gesturing and opulent to the highest of human standards. If you had a flame, Baroque art would make a fire. It began in Italy in the early 1600's and spread throughout much of Europe as those artists were commissioned for projects with this new concept of expression.
Now that I have tried to make you FEEL Baroque with your soul, perhaps you can understand why Nymphenburg is such a powerful place for grandeur. It has ceiling frescoes, Baroque facades, ornate ceiling panels, stunning floors and timeless murals full of imagination and influence. From chandeliers to extremely ornate doorway surrounds, the Baroque art influences commands you in this timeless place.
Aesthetic Alternatives can't make your house look like Nymphenburg, but we can carve plaster on surrounds and fireplaces, create Baroque-style paintings, manifest frescos and fire porcelain handmade tile in our kiln. Please also allow me to show you our faux finish marble techniques, as well as stonework.
